Everything you write — notes, checklists, photos and tasks — is encrypted on your phone and unlocked only with your PIN or fingerprint.
No sign-up, no ads, no analytics, no crash reports. Nothing about you or your notes is collected.
Write notes or checklists, add photos, pick from twelve colours, pin what matters and organise with labels. Search finds anything in an instant.

Type a task, press enter, done. Tick it off and it moves to Completed. That’s it.

A 6-digit PIN or your fingerprint unlocks the app. It locks itself when you leave, blocks screenshots and hides its preview in recent apps.

Export an encrypted backup file and keep it wherever you like — a USB drive, your computer, anywhere. Restore it on a new phone with your backup password.

A calm dark design by default, with an equally polished light theme.

Your notes, images, labels and tasks are stored encrypted on your phone. The key is protected by your PIN and your phone’s secure key storage.
Choose when Vault Diary locks: immediately, or after 30 seconds, 1 minute or 5 minutes in the background.
After too many wrong PINs, the app makes you wait before trying again.
Fingerprint unlock uses Android’s own secure system. If a new fingerprint is added to your phone, Vault Diary turns fingerprint unlock off until you enter your PIN.
Backup files are encrypted with a separate password that you choose. Without it, the file can’t be opened.
Vault Diary’s data is excluded from Android’s automatic cloud backups.
Vault Diary has no accounts and no servers, so nobody — including us — can recover a forgotten PIN. Keep an encrypted backup and remember its password.
No. The app doesn’t request the internet permission, so it can’t connect. Your notes stay on your phone unless you export a backup file yourself.
Your data can’t be recovered — there’s no account or server that could reset it. If you have an encrypted backup and remember its password, you can reinstall the app and restore it.
In Settings, choose Export backup, create a backup password and pick where to save the file. To restore, choose Restore from backup on a new install (or Import backup in Settings) and enter that password.
Yes — export a backup on your old phone, copy the file to the new one, and restore it during setup.
Not at the moment. Vault Diary is available for Android.
Because it has no ads, no tracking and no data to sell. A one-time price keeps it that way.
Yes. Fingerprint is optional; your 6-digit PIN always works.
